dc.description.abstract	Otitis media (OM) is the most common illness requiring medical consultation in children less than 3 years of age. 1 On 1 July 2011 the New Zealand Immunisation schedule changed to include a new generation pneumococcal conjugate vaccine with the potential to significantly reduce the burden of disease due to OM. We outline the recent changes and their implications for New Zealand children.	en
