Abstract:
As I write this, it is the summer holidays and our students are hopefully outside enjoying physical activity in the glorious sunshine. The hard work of preparing for the Scholarship physical education examination is forgotten amidst the excitement of Christmas, family gatherings and holidays. Even the 2009 Scholarship examination questions critically evaluating: the purpose of the evaluative process of physical activity programmes/experiences; nature vs. nurture for elite performers; a health promotion scenario and; critically evaluating the impact on New Zealand society of a physical activity trend or issue, will no doubt be a distant memory for students and teachers as they relax over the summer break.
