Reviews exhibition by Jill Smith and writes of how the artist reconceptualised the concept of the talking stick to show art can function as means of re-interpreting and re-presenting research.This peer reviewed chapter discussed the work of the artist and teacher educator Jill Smith and how she had reconceptualised the concept of the talking stick to show art can function as means of re-interpreting and re-presenting research. It discussed how the artist’s doctoral work had been addressed through an alternative lens and how, drawing on principles from arts based research, data may be represented in alternative forms.
