Abstract:
Calculations have been made of polarization and cross section for the d(d,p)T reaction at 200 keV, from a low energy four-body theory. Comparison of preliminary results with experimental data suggests that the theory is reasonable.
Measurements have been made of the polarization of protons at 0° from d(d,p)T using deuteron beams of either vector or tensor polarization, and reaction energies of 7.1 and 9.8 MeV. The proton polarization was observed to nearly equal the deuteron vector polarization.
