Abstract:
Electron microscopy of thin sections of leaf tissue infected with turnip yellow mosaic virus (TYMV) from eight Crucicerase species other than Chinese cabbage revealed the presence of double membrane vesicles at the periphery of the choloroplasts like those seen in infected Chinese cabbage leaves. Peripheral vesicles in the chloroplasts were also induced by infection with othe tymoviruses in their host leaf cells.
