Abstract:
Taking her bearings from the notion of desert, Brocks argues that the global poor have harms visited upon them that they do not deserve. She further establishes a thought-experimental framework, inspired by John Rawl's original position, for thinking about the minimal moral commitments that reasonable people would agree to in order to govern the relations between the rich and the less well-off.
