dc.description.abstract The reaction of norcarane (bicyclo[4.1.0]heptane) with various iodinating reagents is investigated. A mechanism approaching AdE3 is proposed. The reaction of iodine azide with norbornene (bicyclo [2.2.1]heptene) under both ionic and radical conditions is investigated. The reaction proceeds by the accepted mechanisms. en
