dc.description.abstract The main objective of the current research work is to determine the forming limits of solid wood, radiata pine (Pinus radiata D. Don), under hot pressing conditions. During bulk forming of wood, the specimen surface develops non- uniform strains, which may lead to fractures in the material. For wood, as well as for wood products, there is an acute lack of proper damage zone characterisation. In view of this, the forming limit diagram for solid wood is introduced here from numerous trials. en
