dc.description.abstract The practice of pharmacy evolves to meet the needs of both the community and pharmacists. The latter form the backbone of essential networks of medicines and accessible health professionals in many countries of the world. This letter highlights the need for further studies to provide evidence of pharmacists’ activities in New Zealand and to design systems that will minimise the time pharmacists spend on administrative tasks. This would allow pharmacists to contribute to improving patient health outcomes by minimising drug related problems. en
