dc.description.abstract |
The value of patient autonomy and the respect due to it is by now well recognised in health care. This recognition is visible in requirements to obtain valid consent for treatment and to accept and respect the health-regarding decisions that patients reach. It is visible in efforts to enable patients to manage their own health and to make information about health and disease readily available. |
