Abstract:
The Delphi survey method is a technique for collecting opinion from a number of experts to come to a consensus on a complex problem. This paper discusses a Delphi research survey conducted online in which the views of international and New Zealand experts in drama education were sought on the critical dimensions of effective drama teaching in primary school classrooms. The survey is the first stage platform for a longer study aiming to strengthen teacher professional learning in drama. The paper discusses process, indicative findings and intended future directions for the research.
