dc.description.abstract |
In the writing on new New Zealand houses of the 1990s and the opening years of the twenty-first century, frequent reference was made to “the Group”, taking in the Architectural Group (1946), Group Construction Company (1949-51), Group Architects (1951-64) and sometimes Wilson & Juriss (1964-68). Architects of award-winning houses acknowledged the influence of the Group on their work, and comparisons to Group houses became an accepted practice among critics. |
