dc.description.abstract CIM is software developed to analyse cardiac MRI images for patients. It comprises more than 100,000 lines of code and was the subject of a successful US patent in 2006. It has been licensed to the largest MRI manufacturer in the world (Siemens) and distributed into hospitals internationally. The research grade software has been used for thousands of patients in Auckland and Middlemore Hospitals and has been purchased by Johns Hopkins, NIH, UCLA, and many others for use in the largest cardiac MRI clinical trials in the world today. The Auckland MRI Research Group uses CIM as part of its core laboratory for international trials. In the last four years it has been extended to include analysis of new data such as the right ventricle, DENSE, tagging and SSFP strain images. en
