Abstract:
This article reflects the voices of three early childhood tertiary educators who presented at the Aotearoa New Zealand Association of Arts Educators Conference held in Wellington in July 2007. Lisa Fuemana-Foa’i (Unitec New Zealand), Lesley Pohio (University of Auckland), and Lisa Terreni (Victoria University of Wellington College of Education) revealed many common threads that interwove throughout their individual presentations and made visible an emerging collective voice in early childhood education. Each of these authors has extensive experience in the field of early childhood education both as practitioners and, more currently, as educators in teacher education programs. The episodes that they describe are stories of personal experience. Add e-mail address, with postal address if desired.
