Abstract:
The objective of this thesis was to study the relationships between teamwork and employee well-being outcomes. Beginning with the introduction chapter, main terms were introduced, such as team, teamwork, human potential and hierarchy of needs. Different philosophy assumptions may lead to different research design and research methods. Combining with epistemology assumption, this research chose quantitative research methods for investigation. The quantitative research data was drawn from a survey conducted by Professor Peter Boxall and Associate Professor Keith Macky. Following the research questions, a conceptual model was established for the data analysis guidance. The results for the first question set indicated that all the variables had significant correlation with each other. For most of the mediating effects team environment had on employee well-being outcomes, the results were proved by the previous research. However, for some other mediating variables, the results were totally opposite to the previous researches. From all the discussions, we can draw a conclusion is for most of the employee well-being outcomes, teamwork had significant effects on them through certain mediating variables. For different outcomes, the mediating variables had different effects.
