Abstract:
Some artworks disrupt object identification and also the use of objects as tools for the constitution of subjectivity. I argue that an important way that these artworks function is to problematise objecthood by object-becoming, an unresolved process which channels material and temporal flux, escaping the capture and grounding of object identification.
