dc.description.abstract	The method of distributed dislocations is used to formulate the plane problem of a crack between a circular elastic inclusion and an elastically dissimilar matrix. The resulting singular integral equations are solved numerically. As examples, solutions are presented for the crack-tip stress intensity factors and energy release rate for a crack under conditions of far-field tension and shear, for cases where one of Dundurs' constants (β) vanishes.	en
