Bringing spatial awareness to music has been considered one of the major contributions of Electroacoustic to music practice. In recent years, technological advancement has allowed composers to explore further into this territory. Despite the success of Wave Field Synthesis, there appears to be no solutions for inner periphery spatial manipulations in the more accessible 8-channel octophonic environment. A practice-based Localisation and Trajectory Encoding System (La†Σs) project will be discussed in this paper. The new techniques, methods and software developed will be presented in detail. |
