Abstract:
A fishery characterisation was undertaken for the SCI 6A scampi stock, and the previously applied assessment was updated with a simplified model structure. Sensitivity to natural mortality, and estimation of catchability as free or nuisance parameters were investigated. Although not accepted, the SFAWG felt that the assessments were able to provide some information, and indicated that there did not appear to be any cause for concern over the stock, with SSBcurrent over 50% SSB0.
