dc.description.abstract The research: This case study describes how an informal multi-professional collaboration emerged and, due to shared expertise and openness, effectively achieved academic and information literacy (AIL) integration into the academic curricula to produce successful outcomes for teaching and learning. Firstly, we present insights on how we broadened specialized individual work to include innovation and responsibility for departmental and curriculum needs. Secondly, we explain how, within a hierarchical setting, synergies in shared expertise among team members helped to develop methodologies applied to deepen our understanding of what Media Film and Television (MFT) undergraduate students' learning needs are. Lastly, we will address insights into our own working practices, assessment design, theoretical frameworks applied and responses to contingencies. en
