dc.description.abstract The study of traceroute data is a well-established topic in the field of Networking, there are numerous research that utilize traceroute responses to form network topologies, providing us with a deeper insight on the routing behaviours and the properties of large networks. In this thesis, we study traceroute data obtained from actively measuring probes over 1,000 vantage points in the RIPE Atlas project. From the datasets, we produce visualizations of probes exhibiting sudden routing changes using a new set of probe distance algorithms and clustering techniques. To evaluate the effectiveness of our approach, we then compare the resulting plots with the those produced using existing techniques by Brownlee [1]. en
