dc.description.abstract Camera calibration is a necessary and critical step in 3D object analysis. The accuracy of calibration results will affect the object's position in world coordinates, especially for 3D object tracking. In this paper, we present a new camera calibration approach, and discuss its accuracy. We use 3D marks instead of 2D marks for calibration. Our experimental results show that our approach has the potential to improve the calibration accuracy. en
