Abstract:
A design workshop is a full immersion for a dialectic reflection between professors, tutors, students and professionals for elaborating concepts and design proposals on the real problems of the territory, at the different design and communication stages. It is usually an activity with a strong interdisciplinarity connotation. The paper explains some experiences of the Department of Architecture of Ferrara – Architettura>Energia Research Centre, as a support for the Bologna, Argenta and Reggio Emilia municipalities and public administrations. It is a synthetic but meaningful overlook if compared with the wide and structured work that was done in few days and presented at the end of the activities. Some representatives coming from the municipalities and local entities took part to the activities in order to give the work a strong impulse toward the end user’s benefits. Thus the workshop demonstrates the support given by the University to the community.
