Abstract:
Fragments: the Apocalyptic Everyday presents a body of work body that attempts to deal with the problems of the contemporary moment. Through the employment of a number of parallel installation strategies:, creating constellation of objects that exploit the power of materiality, gesture and abstraction to draw attention to the apocalyptic nature of present moment. Answering the call for worker flexibility this body of work presents an ever evolving series represented here through a photographic documentation of installations, sculptures painting and the studio; at once artwork and research material, here organized in chronological order. The written component, structured as a series of alphabetical entries touches on methodology and analysis of work in relation to my urban environment, current events politics and philosophy as it relates.
