dc.description.abstract This study explores the effects of task type on the planning features and writing production by measuring complexity, accuracy, and fluency (CAF). Results show that an increase in task complexity might have triggered advanced planning behaviors, including increasing frequency and multiple forms; task type affects CAF in different ways: with an increase in task complexity, syntax complexity and lexical length increase significantly, but lexical diversity does not show any significant change; in terms of accuracy, word error numbers per T unit increase but language error numbers per T unit do not; the quantity indicators of fluency increase significantly, but the rate indicators do not show any significant different change.
