dc.description.abstract This thesis is the report of the study of rocks of the Te Kuiti Group in the district around Te Anga, and on a line between Te Anga and Waitomo. The Te Kuiti Group consists of limestones, calcareous mudstones and sandstones and, in places, basal conglomerates and coal measures. In the area under study it is of Landon (lower Oligocene) age.
