Abstract:
A carbonate coprecipitation synthesis, without pH value control, washing and filtering processes, was applied to prepare the precursor of lanthanum chromite. DSC-TG evolution shows that the synthesis reaction of lanthanum chromite finished at 200 °C. Pure lanthanum chromite powder with an average particle size of about 60 nm was obtained in one step via the combustion of the precursor (with a pile height of 10 mm) at 200 °C. An apparent density of 84.2 % was achieved by sintering the green sample at 1550 °C for 6 h.
