Abstract:
until a few years ago, relevant projects on existing buildings almost exclusively concerned the architectural heritage with particular historical value, through programmatic actions aimed at restoration, recovery and reuse. now we are seeing significant requalification actions, aimed at re-designing buildings from more recent times, mainly because of the lack of global performance. the planning of these operations is in fact the result of requirements different to those for whom the building were originally designed and built (to re-skill for new functions) or by a gradual reduction in the overall performance delivered by the technical elements that do not permit the proper conduct of activities in terms of comfort or in compliance with the required regulations.
