Abstract:
La noción de “lugar” en arquitectura ha presentado distintas acepciones como variable proyectual. Sin embargo, difícilmente se ha logrado categorizar la manera en que “el lugar” se presenta en el proyecto más allá de presentarse como un dato del problema al que se debe responder por negación o por un reconocimiento absoluto. Considerando las posibilidades de exploración de las fases intermedias entre estos extremos, en este trabajo se revisan las posibles categorías de asimilación de la noción de lugar desde el proyecto, entregando además una herramienta de lectura de la arquitectura contemporánea internacional, sobre la base de cómo esta noción de lugar se presenta en el proyecto. The definition of ‘place’ in architecture has showed different meanings as a factor of the architectonic project. However, it is difficult to set out how the concept of ‘place’ is presented in the project beyond a simple factor of the problem to be answered through denial or total recognition. Taking into account possibilities of exploring intermediate stages between these extremes, in this paper it will review possible categories of assimilation of the notion of ‘place’ through the project and furthermore, it will provide conceptual tools to read the international contemporary architecture based on how the conception of ‘place’ is taking presence in the architectonic project.
