Abstract:
Second Look challenges the assumption that students enter their study programmes well equipped for academic response to course material. I assert that appreciation and ability to consider ‘best external evidence’ is not limited to academic study, but must include clinical practice requirements, in order to provide ‘best practice’ with optimal outcomes for the patient. Exampling the teaching of basic radiographic principles, I was able to demonstrate how to break down the myth that there is a paucity of literature leading to how medical imaging educators might change teaching practice.
