dc.description.abstract This study investigated mediation role of test anxiety in the relationship between perfectionism and academic procrastination. Participants were 480 students from a mid-sized, Iranian University. Participants completed the test anxiety subscale of Motivated Strategy for Learning questionnaire, Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale, and Academic procrastination scale. The path diagram of the hypothetical model tested by Sequential simultaneous regression analyses, according to recommended steps of Baron and Kenny (1986). Results showed that (a) self-oriented perfectionism (SOP) and socially-prescribed perfectionism (SPP) directly, were predictors of academic procrastination, (b) SOP in comparison to SPP was a negative and stronger predictor of procrastination and (c) test anxiety was partially mediator between both kinds of perfectionism and procrastination. Implications and suggestion for future studies are discussed. en
