Abstract:
This chapter argues that Mormonism's informal institutions have significant cultural gravity that should not be overlooked despite the obvious influence of its formal institutions. It compares three "Primary Presentations" from congregations in Hong Kong and Auckland, New Zealand, to show how these formal and informal institutions interact.
