dc.description.abstract |
The apparent authority of an agent ought to endure only so long as it remains reasonable for the third party to rely on a holding out of authority. Notification of withdrawal of authority is the ideal, but not only, way that apparent authority can be terminated. Longstanding dicta to the contrary are wrong. |
