Abstract:
This study has been done on the aim of investigating the role of parental conflict (with an emphasis on the role of father) on children's self-confidence. The statistic population consisted of 12 to 15 year old-students. Sampling method was the cluster sampling method. Measuring tools included parent’s conflict resolution tactics scale and rosenberg self-esteem scale. Statistical analysis of data using the correlation matrix and regression analysis was performed using spss software. The results showed that fathers’ physical aggressiveness conflict resolution tactics and fathers’ verbal aggressiveness are negative predictor variables of adolescents’ self-esteem. Generally, the findings indicated that father conflict can have an impact on adolescents’ self-confidence and constructor reasoning tactic have positive impacts on the mental compatibility indicators.
