Abstract:
Architecture has always been about people, but it was never really made for nature. The concrete jungle spreads, and it leaves very little space for wildlife to survive. It is time to admit that our isolated lifestyle is damaging the entire ecosystem, and the only way to reverse the effect is to start living with other species. How should architecture be designed to allow humans and fish to live together in harmony? Hello, my name is Elliott, and my love for architecture and wild animals have come together to create this thesis. The title is the combination of the words biodiversity and city, to design architecture that can change people’s perception of cohabitation and lead future cities to become BiodiverCity. In this thesis, I want to research, investigate, and explore ways of designing an architectural space where humans and wild animals can cohabitate in harmony.
