Research fellow Dr. Ladan Hashemi research activities are in the areas of public health with a focus on child and family health and well-being. She has worked internationally on many projects involving public health and public policy. Prior to commencing her job as a research fellow at the UoA, Dept. of Paediatrics and Dept. of Social and Community Health , she worked as an Assistant Professor at her home country, Iran, where she led and conducted several research projects investigating the impact of family dynamic and structure on the health of children, youth, and women. Dr. Hashemi has recognised expertise in big data analytics and has experience with both NZ and international big dataset. She has applied her analytical skills across a range of research settings in New Zealand including, family violence, family health and well-being, cardiology, childhood obesity, and childhood food security. |
