Voices New Zealand International Tour gave New Zealand's premier chamber choir and Taonga Pūoro artist, Horomona Horo, the opportunity to perform in Europe and thereby position itself more strategically on the world platform. The choir represented New Zealand at the 100th Anniversary of NZ soldiers liberating Le Quesnoy in WW1 and gave the first international performance of Victoria Kelly's "The Unusual Silence." Concerts were as follows: 1. Choral at Cadogan, October 29; 2. Laiszehalle. Hamburg, October 31; 3. Kleine Saal, Konzerthaus, Berlin, November 2; 4. Église Notre Dame de l’Assomption, Le Quesnoy, November 4; 5. Conservatoire Darius Milhaud, Aix-en-Provence, with the La Lycée Militaire Choeur, November 6; 6. Palau de la Musica (Petite Palau), Barcelona, with Orfeó Català, November 8. |
