Abstract:
With the current development in architecture and built environment, it is worth wondering, what is the next possible typology of architecture? The architecture we occupy at present days ranges from traditional houses to highly free formed organic landmarks. Despite their differences in form and function, they are still very static and what you see is what is physically built. VR Technology, on the other hand, is normally focusing on the digital render of a complete virtual space, this space is not rooted specifically in the physical realm, and the interaction with the VR space is often limited to the hand controllers. Embedded in an global exponential increase of interest and developments in the tactile virtual reality sector, VR Tactile aims to merge the physical architecture with digital virtual space to create a new form of architecture. Within the scope of VR Tactile, Hybrid [A]rchitectural {I}ntelligence investigates the intelligent interactivity between architecture and its inhabitant through experiments on a variety of theories and their associated processes.
