Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to describe the guidelines of support to assist general hospital health personnel to mobilise appropriate resources in the process of caring for patients undergoing radiotherapy treatment, thereby promoting a positive attitude amongst the health personnel which facilitates mental and physical health as integral parts of health or wholeness. Themes from the results of this research emerged as follows:- knowledge regarding the disease, perception of radiotherapy and related procedures, radiotherapy side effects, psychological effects, care of the patient, and the importance of faith and hope.
