dc.description.abstract |
The current international pandemic has precipitated great in using technology to evaluate learning and quality assure assessments. But the types of technology adopted depend in part on the purposes (i.e., administrative vs. educational) we have for assessment and evaluation. An important goal in exam-oriented China is all-round personal development, which is currently being assessed with the Integrate Quality Assessment. Technologies exist to automate test scoring, test delivery, test analysis, and support online examinations. These all assume technologies are equitably accessible and support classroom use, rather than just formal summative evaluation.
Some examples from New Zealand will be used to show how assessment technologies support teachers to use educational assessment. I will conclude with some thoughts on how higher education can exploit assessment technologies for education. |
