Abstract:
Often, when people think of yarn, their mind goes to jumpers, knitting, or keeping out
the cold. However, yarn is more than just these everyday things for the author:
specifically, it is also a medium that can express emotions very well. The softness and
texture of the yarn cannot be replaced by other materials. Accordingly, the tapestries
made from this material are unique. In this article, I will introduce traditional Chinese
fibre art and combine it with my own experiences. Further, I will analyse and study
the work of fibre artists both from China and abroad whilst referring to the theme of
the sense of touch.
