Abstract:
This thesis is experimental in operation. It looks to generate highly artificial parameters through the deployment of a precisely directed 'social distortion', which is developed to function outside of normal architectural social and programmatic models. This new perception of a hybrid 'hyper architecture' originates with the superimposition of a contemporary academic institution within the industrially active Chelses Sugar Works. At a speculative level both typologies share a commercially orientated abstraction, motivated by capitalist tendencies. A private preparatory school has an established hierarchical order that is considered to align with an existing corporate 'efficiency' that deals in space, time and money.
