Abstract:
The New Zealand species of the genus Pupa are discussed. The radula of Pupa kirki (Hutton, 1873), a New Zealand species, is described and compared with those of Pupa suleata (Gmelia, 1791) and Pupa suturalis (A. Adams, 1854) collected from Fiji and Queensland respectively.
A new genus, Mazacteon, is erected for Acteon oratericulatus Hedley, 1906 and two new species are also described. The shells of two probable new species are described but not named.
