dc.description.abstract	In a Starpath technical report Shulruf, Hattie, and Tumen (2007) proposed a number of alternative criteria, different from the criterion currently used by the NZQA (New Zealand Qualiﬁcations Authority), for achieving “UE” (University Entrance). 1 The proposed criteria incorporate notions of quality as well as quantity into the process of achieving UE. They are based upon a GPA [grade point average] score calculated from results obtained on NCEA standards.	en
