Abstract:
This thesis is an attempt to explore place in terms of site specificity through the poiesis of process-based design. The intent is to understand the creation of place as an experience which heightens one's understanding of the nature of a particular site - through the interaction with an architectural construct. Place is conceptualised as the dialectic between the context and the project, and the way that the resulting architectural construct responds to human activities and experiences.
