Some changes induced in Chinese cabbage nucleic metabolism by infection with turnip yellow mosaic virus (TWMV) have been examined in the first leaf to develop systemic symptoms. This leaf was used in an attempt to avoid wounding effects, and its characteristics have been defined to allow infection-induced changes to be related to the stags of leaf development, the time course of infection and virus increase, and the onset of microscopic and macroscopic symptom and stunting effects. In some experiments, where effects at a late stage of infection where studied, leaves showing mosaic symptoms were used.Scanned from print thesisenItems in ResearchSpace are protected by copyright, with all rights reserved, unless otherwise indicated.https://researchspace.auckland.ac.nz/docs/uoa-docs/rights.htmSome Effects of Turnip Yellow Mosaic Virus Infection on Nucleic Acid Metabolism in Brassica Pekinensis Rupr.ThesisFields of Research::270000 Biological Sciences::270100 Biochemistry and Cell BiologyCopyright: The authorQ111963943
