Abstract:
In this third paper, we begin to address the challenge of providing a less conventional, integrated curriculum by taking the four learning spaces of the current research-based PhD curriculum, and providing examples of how those spaces might also encompass teaching development. In Briefing Paper 4 (2016) we use the concept of stewardship introduced in Briefing Paper 2 (2016) to broaden the learning spaces-based analysis towards a stewardship-based PhD and how it might differ from a research-based PhD.
