Abstract:
Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a metabolic disorder characterised by hyperglycaemia, insulin resistance and P-cell dysfunction. Complications of diabetes such as nephropathy, retinopathy, neuropathy and macrovascular disease are leading causes of mortality and morbidity.
